when I walked into the Melting Pot Cafe yesterday the first thing I thought was what a bloody weird place the decoration was absolutely bonkers with a million different colours, magazine cuttings everywhere, spray painted colanders stuck to the stage as light diffusers and cutlery glued to the wall. Ignorantly for some reason because it wasnt like the boring and sterile places I usually eat in I expected that it wouldnt be great and I was tempted to make my excuses and leave. Good job I didnt because the food was amazing, definitely the best from any cafe Ive visited in Cornwall! I had a tasty southern fried chicken wrap and my partner had a home cooked West Indian curry which was out of this world! The family that own it were so pleasant and warming and made us feel so welcome! If the owner reads this please put your prices up, it is way too cheap for the quality! I cant believe you do a 2 meat Sunday roast for under 8, wish I lived in Cornwall so that I could come in more regularly! Will definitely visit next time I come!
Absolute gem of a place friendly very jolly staff and the food was gorgeous ... also hires out the back room which we used
Had a fabulous night at the Melting Pot.Wednesday singer songwriter night with a Christmas theme! Lots of singing along and jamming.A very convivial time!.
I love this place. Eat here at least twice a week. The food is great, even catering to the fact I am on a very low carb diet and the atmosphere is both relaxed and enjoyable. Even Cinders my dog loves to spend time there she is a regular too.
Really funky little cafe with a licence. Very nice staff. The hot dogs seem popular. May be a little inaccurate on what you order but just make sure they have got it right and all will be ok. Quirky with nice food.
