Took my classic Triumph Herald in here with advanced notice and a full list of faults, together with all parts to complete the jobs. After two weeks I was told to collect the car. On collection, neither fault with the lights nor gearbox had been fixed, some of the parts supplied hadnt been fitted, my carburetor had not been rebuilt, a new master cylinder was missing and they had not re-ordered and fitted a distributor as they had stated they would. There was also damage to my hood frame. Having driven the car away, using it for the day, I discovered when I got home that a wheel nut was missing. On return to the garage they acknowledged they knew about that and had ordered me a new one, without bothering to tell me before I drove the car away. Not only does that risk further damaging the car, but potentially could cause failure and an accident. Theyve denied losing my parts, took two weeks to get the right wheel nut and, despite the owner getting a letter of complaint from me some 28 days ago, (which I know they received as it was acknowledged when I collected my wheel nuts) Ive heard absolutely nothing.
This is the best garage ever. Probably the only one that dont rip people off. Receptionist is a laugh. And my bill was very reasonable. I tell everyone about this place. Its Redruth ind est. Behind a big Saxon building. Excellent.
