It used to be a good surgery but has gone down hill. Over a period of time I have seen it overwhelmed with lack of doctors and too many patients. I have always shown patience for the staff . Lately there has been a lot of change with staff especially at reception and I am not convinced of the honesty of some of them .The latest loss of trust with the surgery for example last saturday morning they are using the old flu jab, yes the one for last winter. :o They said that they were one of two surgeries in the area who could not get the new jab because they were too late ordering it !!!However they went on to say that if you wanted the new one you could go to ANY chemist to get it. Something did not add up on what they were saying and I had that feeling I was being lied to and patients fobbed off.Having researched the internet NHS England have screwed up again with the Flu Jab, The usual screw up of a Private sector Company contracted to provide Public Sector supplies/Services and using a single company who are not actually able to supply it properly having Undercut the competition but unable to deliver on the price they quoted!! Researching I found NHS England are now trying to get surgeries/pharmacies to share out the vaccine. This has caused problems and a back lash as Surgery and Pharmacy are in direct competition with each otherThey are paid for each Jab they administer .For example At about 12 a shot per person at a pharmacy the profit will soon add up to a tidy sum ! I went to the chemist in the village to be told the new one is available from 1st October. It's a large UK company so may be able to obtain the new vaccine. I will find if that is the case on the 5th Oct as I have booked in for the new flu jab then but I will call in between the 1st and 5th to check if they can get it.Last year the NHS had the choice to use one of two vaccines but chose to go with the cheaper less effective vaccine, I researched it last year and found it published on NHS England's own web site as well as some debate elsewhere that it would not save money because it lead to more hospital admissions resulting from flu , of course last winter the hospitals end up swamped as predicted .I wasn't impressed with the receptionist when I told her that that and her denials that was the case or the fact that as I left she made me the subject of ridicule with others waiting for the jab. She ought to be aware of what is on the NHS website but then that is the quality of some of the staff there now.Not informed and not honest. You have to have trust in your local surgery and this surgery is not being honest with its customers . Sadly it was not coping well with the number of patients it already has but with the another surgery closing and this one having to take on more patients it is only going to get worse.A tip for the front end of this Surgery would be Tell the Truth and for the Surgery don't fob people off. We can forgive things out out your control we don't forgive being lied to , things covered up or simply fobbed offThe bottom line is this surgery having not been honest about the situation is actually being paid to dish out last years flu vaccine!!

Over the past few weeks following an operation, I have needed to see doctors at very short notice to deal with various issues.Ive been seen quickly on every occasion. So thanks for providing a great service.
